Oh, where to begin...

I saw Nelly for the Wisconsin State Fair at the beginning of August. It was fun. And she got to meet my relatives from out of state! But I miss her now, as always...

I hate the weather around here lately. It feels more like October than the end of August. It sucks! It's been a cold summer around here.

The new Angus burgers are selling like crazy (they're $3.99+tax apiece right now). I like the deluxe (mustard, mayo, sweet pickles, red onions, lettuce, tomato, American cheese) and the bacon & cheese one (ketchup, mustard, sweet pickles, red onions, bacon, American cheese). I will NEVER, EVER try that vile mushroom & swiss one... Ugh. I hate both mushrooms AND Swiss cheese. (It comes with mayo, mushrooms, and Swiss cheese only.) And these burgers are big. They're 1/3 lb instead of 1/4 lb. We have already had some men asking for a double Angus third-pounder... wow... If we ever come out with that, it should come with only cheese and ketchup standard. That's all they ever order on the double quarter pounder anyway! (And that meal should be automatically supersized too!)

In other news, I got a new Dell E170S LCD monitor for my desktop computer. It's a nice 17" non-widescreen monitor that goes up to 1280×1024. I also opted to get the soundbar attachment for it so I could finally get rid of the crappy speakers I was using for my laptop (and move the speakers I had for my desktop over to that computer's docking station). But anyway... Who the hell decided that widescreens on computers were a good idea? They're horrible for most things you do on the computer! How many times have you been to a website on a widescreen with a whole bunch of wasted space off to the sides? I hate not being able to buy a new laptop without one of those blasted shortscreens. They're everywhere now! My laptop is a good one, but it would have been even better with a normal screen! Seriously, it's as if all laptops are ever used for anymore is watching movies! I can't really tell you the last time I watched a movie on my laptop, since I have a TV and DVD player for that. And even if I did frequently watch movies on my laptop, I do not mind black bars. I don't know why people hate black bars (so much that they'd rather stretch the image out of shape than put up with them...) I wouldn't be able to stand my laptop's widescreen at all if it didn't have the option of pillarboxing (putting black bars to the sides of) games that want a normal-shaped video mode (like 800×600 or whatever).
